Hi,
I recently bought a refurb CPU (Xeon E5-2637 v4 ) to replace my functioning but slow Xeon E5-2603 v4. This was swapped on a Supermicro X10DAI Motherboard and was given adequate cooling. This is run as a single CPU (even though the board supports dual) and 32GB DDR4-2133 ECC REG RAM. The new CPU wouldn't do a thing. No startup beep, no Bios (or any image on screen). I swapped the CPUs back and all was fine.
Am I missing something here in terms of incompatibility or is it more likely that the CPU us dead?
Thanks for any clues!
