I attempted to overclock my 3.0ghz 775 today but came into some trouble. First I was able to oc to 3.2 with no trouble at 1.3500V but when I bumped the FSB up by 5 to 220 and my vcore to 1.4000V, windows was only stable for 5 mins and 3dmark05 closed on me with an error. My temperatures didnt go above 40C. Any suggestions? Increase my vcore even more?

Get a better PSU. I don't know intel systems much but I know that if you are trying to overclock, you need a good quality PSU with decent amps on 12v rail. Try getting a 480W or 500W decent PSU.

What are the amps on the 12v rail my friend? If you are trying to overclock this can be a problem.

You look on the side of the PSU for what is says the rails are rated at.

Also, you have PC3200 memory which may hold you back if it doesn't overclock.
Are you running a divinder, if not, you waht want to try one.
