CPU uCode Error

Recently Purchased ASUS P5P800 MX w/Intel 2.8 CPU. All new tower and guts w/430W power supply and everything supports LGA-775. Put it together and boots to "CPU uCode Error" Press F1 to continue. Once I get past F1 all is well, but can't get rid of error message. Can anyone Help?

Try updating the BIOS. If error still doesn't go away, see if you can "borrow" another, identical CPU. I had one CPU give me some errors like that and it was a faulty CPU (had problems elsewhere too). Only other time was running a mobile CPU on an Asus P4S8X-MX. My "workaround" was to set Stop on Errors to "none" in BIOS, and it'll still pop up that error but happily continue to boot without waiting for F1. If the CPU is supposed to be supported though, I'd do the BIOS flash and then try a different CPU.
