CPU TIM removal

I have currently started using Arctic Silver 5 but I removed the old TIM using a normal lint free tissue paper. I was just wondering if it is worth investing in a proper TIM cleaner? What do you guys think? Is there any major downside to just wiping of the old TIM?

Thanks guys!

I know about the isopropyl alcohol. I am just wondering about the downsides of not using anything and just wiping it off. Most of the threads that I've read never really say anything about WHY you should use them. Sorry if I didn't make that clear in my post.

because old TIM can be contaminated with other materials that aren't good for heat transfer. Would it kill a proc....probably not...but why not just clean it off nice and good
