CPU temps

Ok, so rig in sig...

BIOS reports temp @ any frequency to be 38*C, so I dont pay anyattention to that.

BUT

Sandra right now @ 2.6GHZ is reporting my CPU temp to be 39*C idle.

Everest however is reporting MOTHERBOARD temp at 39*C and CPU temp at 32*C.

I'm using an XP-90C w/Panaflo H1B

Which program is more trustworthy?

EDIT: HSF is NOT hot to touch. Doesn't even feel slightly warm.

Those differences aren't that bad; I've seen programs differ by as much as 15-20 degrees. Regardless, those aren't bad temps anyway.

It seems most programs are inherently inaccurate anway... I know asus-probe, for example, is generally regarded as pretty worthless. Really, I'd say just take a rough average and be happy with that.

If no one has any thoughts, I guess I am gonna go with Everest.

Sandra reported idle temp to be 39*C. With P95 running right now, CPU temp is now 41*C under load? I dont think so.

Everest reported 32*C idle, with P95 running CPU temp udnerload is now 45*C. That sounds better.

Also, I'm almost positive Sandra is reporting my motherboard temp as CPU temp. At idle, Sandra CPU temp and Everest mobo temps were idetical at 38*C. Now with Prime running everest reports motherboard temp to be 42*C. Sandra says the same for CPU.
