ok now i have msi k7n2g mobo and my temps are reading 50-55 idle and on my pc alert thing that came with my drivers reads under 40c whats the deal, i have a artic cooling cpu fan, should my temps be that high, or if so.....are they normal. i just put a radeon 9600 pro in too and when i play games like bf42, my computer locks up after like 15-20 mins of playin.. but when i take the side off no problems. on this board there is onboard vga, i didnt have this problem b4. is it the video card or a cooling issue?

You have no problems with the side off? That indicates a cooling problem - bad or insufficient air flow.

You may need a, or a more powerful, case fan. And possibly some heatsinks on your video ram. I'd do both, since playing 3d games makes the card run much hotter, thus increasing system and CPU temps.

I couldn't agree more, if you don't min the noice, get a vantec tornado blowing into the vga vard and cpu, you'll notice the difference...

My temp was about 53/59 before I installed lots of fans and replaced my hsf fan to vantec aeroflow...
but now it's 32/40 and 33/43 on load...
