CPU Temperature under Load?

Currently have an Athlon XP 1800+ OC'ed to 144 FSB w/ 512 MB Crucial 2100 @ CAS 2 on an Epox 8kHA+ Motherboard. CPU is usually 28 C idle and Case is 19-20 C idle.

I was wondering how to find my CPU temp under load. I have Sisoft Sandra, but it doesn't seem to report the LOAD temperature, just the idle temperatures of my case. Motherboard Moniter is giving me null readings for the sensors (I probably don't have it set up right)- does that have Load temperature recording? I just wanted to know what temperatures my XP was reaching before I OC it any further. I'm cooling with a Millenium Glaciator II- anyone know how far I'll be able to go? And how to find my CPU load temperatures?

Bump? I had to move down to 142 FSB because of problems. I'd still like to know how to find my CPU temp under load though...

The latest version of Sandra should give both system and CPU temps in the "mainboard" information tab....

For MBM, you need to go into settings and set various temp sensors to the appropriate MBM readings. Read around the MBM site for detailed setup info, but for hte 8kha +, The Winbond 1 reading is the System Temp, The Winbond 2 is the CPU Socket-thermistor temp.

Thanks Mike for the Motherboard Moniter info! I've already found how how to find my current system temperature through Sandra, though. I'm trying to find a way to see that temperature while my system is being stressed, however. Can Sandra perform some sort of logging that would log my temperature, while I run, say, 3DMark?

Just use Sandra our look on the General Forum's FAQ for another CPU-burn in test to max out your CPU and just keep your temp monitoring program up so you can look at it.

CPU temp 28C=82F
Case temp 19C=66F

If we can assume (yes, I know what assuming does) that the difference between case temp and ambient temp is only 7C, that would mean that your ambient temp is12C or 53F. Are you living in a walk-in refrigerator? It's cold here in my home office and the temp is 17C or or 62.6F. You must be wearing a goosedown thermal suit.
