I was having alot of lock ups running games and media player etc. had an old TNT2 Vanta 16mb 32bit pci vid card installed on a Dragon plus m\b at 1.3ghz, Now I just installed a Geforce 2 MX200 32mb vid card now I can run games for probably 15 to 20 minutes then locks up, I checked the cpu temp say's it's around 55c now would this caues a lock up and if so would one more case fan help?
 
I read on Hardocp i think it was that if you are under 52 degrees you are fine. 53/54 are ok... 55+ is when problems arise. I myself go up to 60 degrees with load and don't have problems so I don't know what your problem is.
 
What kind of lock up are you getting? My guess if you are running a Win9x variant, that is your issue. If not, it could be a memory conflict, which may be solved by uninstalling some old drivers. If nothing else, you could try a reformat/reinstall.
