I have a hard time believing it's that cool. That's probably close to ambient temperature, if not cooler.

That's the sensor thats on the MB near the CPU socket. Use HWmonitor or one of the others mentioned for the real core temps

23c is about right for the reported CPU temp you're seeing with that utility.

But you don't care about CPU temp. You care about core temperatures, which you will find are hovering around upper 30s to low 40s.

Hmmm, I didn't realize that about the CPU temp vs core temp. Core temp, real temp or HWMonitor says the trusty AT forum. I will check this out. Thanks.

last i checked temps are relative. and depends where its measuring. so you can judge difference in your own system, but it doesn't transfer.

<LOL> 23C is 73.4 F - that is about 6 degrees cooler than my room temperature!
