cpu temp?

Before you take it off, you should have some new thermal interface material to put between the HS and the CPU. Without it, the HS wont make good contact with the CPU.

If you put new material on it, make sure you clean off the CPU and heatsink really well first (isopropal alcohol works well).

Also, take the HS off soon after turning the comptuer off. That way the interface material will be warm and it should come off easily (and not get stuck to the CPU and rip it out of the socket)

Yeah, the Zalmans or a Thermaltake are some of the best out there right now.

From what I've read, I think getting one that's all copper doesn't really get you much for the cost and the extra weight and stress it puts on your board.
