CPU temp opinion wanted

I just put an Athlon 1.4 factory unlocked chip in my AK31 ver2 mobo with a Volcano5 hs/f
I use a dab of thermal pen (radio shack)
Also use 1 sunon 43cfm fan for exhaust
Now it 47-48c @1468 (11x133) @ 1.65
Case temp reads 31c

Is this cpu "warm"? Opinions wanted

Also have a Volcano7 and another Sunon fan sitting nearby

considering your 31C case temp, your cpu temp isn't unreasonable.

Would a second fan for intake help the case temp much?

Do you have any intake fans installed? if not you should
pick one up and install it.

thanks, now I thinking (hehehe, these 43cfm Sunon's are loud to me anyway. If I go with say 30-32 cfm's, would the quieter fans negate any gain in lower temps anyway?

Also, 48C is well within the safe operating range for an Athlon. If you start hitting 55-60, you should worry. Of course, it'd be great if you were running at about 35, but it certainly doesn't need to be that cool. My XP runs at 44C. Mobo at 28C, case at 24C. Stock speed, stock HSF.

well I installed the intake fan with Volcano7.
So far I have it running 1.4@1512 (14x108) 1.7v 40c case temp 29c
up up we go
