cpu temp, and RAM problem

Hey, im new to these forums. People recommended me to go here for computer discussion and tech, and it seems like you guys are knowledgable and have a good forum here.

I recently built a computer not too long ago
Antec Solution Mid-Tower 350w PS (rear 120mm fan, front 80mm fan)
Athlon 64 3200+ Newcastle
Thermaltake Silent Boost K8 heatsink/fan with Artic Silver 5 thermal paste
Abit KV8Pro 3rd Eye motherboard
Corsair XMS pc3200 ddr400 2x512mb (1gb)
Sapphire Radeon 9800pro AGP
Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm 160GB SATA 150
Sound Blaster Live Audigy 2 Value
Lite-On dvd/cd burner
Lite-On dvd/cd reader


The Abit UGURU CLOCK says my cpu temp is around 48c when im just surfing the net. When I play WoW it goes up to 67c. I heard that with the Athlon 64's and the Abit KV8Pro MB that the temp readings can be off? I have a Thermaltake Silent Boost K8 heatsink/fan with Artic Silver 5 paste, and a 120mm fan in the rear, and a 80mm in the front. Does this seem right to you?

Also I just downloaded Everest, and as i was looking through it it says my RAM refresh rate is Refresh Rate Reduced (7.8 us), Self-Refresh
and its only running at 200mhz (its pc3200 ddr 400 and should be at 400mhz). So this means its running slower than it should be right? Why is it doing this and is there anyway to fix it?

If it was really 67C..your comp should be crashing all over, anyways, where you went wrong is: Thermaltake Silent Boost K8 heatsink/fan....TT isnt the best name for making HSF, if your mobo is compatible, try an XP-90/XP-120 with a Panaflo high speed fan, or a Zalman and see if that helps. But before that, download Speedfan and see your temps, and report back what you see.

ddr 400 runs at 200 because it is DOUBLE data rate.
