CPU temp 18 degrees C?

try motherboard monitor - available through many sites in your favorite search engine. This gives me more accurate temps than my MB software even though it was reading only about 10 degrees too cool.

ok i just installed the latest version of motherboard moniter and restarted pc it says 20 degrees C for my CPU. and UGURU says the same thing. this not overclocked at all with a coolermaster heatsink/fan that came with the cpu/mb combo. is this thing really running this cool?

Yes my room has AC its not cold but not hot in here actual temp im not sure.No cool and quiet is not enabled dont know alot about that yet.i do have a side and rear 80mm fan on in the case and it says my case temp is 39C.when i get some better ram ill try OCing but right now im using 2 dif brands of pc2100 ya i said it pc2100 lol.512x2 btw. i live in indiana also and its currently 76 degrees outside.

Your case temp is not 39C... that's probably your socket temp, and 18 is probably your case temp being read a few degrees low.

actually no my case temp does say 39-43 on both Uguru and motherboard moniter.i left the pc on for past few hours with no ac on in the room and its now saying the cpu is 22C and case 43C uguru says as follows.

DDRVdd=2.58v
+3.3v = 3.36
+5v = 5.21

CPU RPM = 3180
NB RPM = 5760
OTES RPM = 5400

CPU = 24.0C
SYS = 43.0C
PWM = 47.0C

and the motherboard moniter program concurs with everything uguru says.

I don't care what it says... your CPU is not cooler than the temperature inside your case... it's physically impossible unless you're using phase change cooling... and I doubt you are.

Also you probably have something hooked up wrong, or they have the readings reversed. I agree with you 100% Jeff (also Liquid Hydrogen and dry ice would allow that to happen 🙂 )

How can i have something hooked up wrong? my bios is reading different than these 2 programs but why are they both reading the same? UGURU and MB Moniter.and for you not caring is not helping me im asking for help here and just relaying all the info i have avail to me.

You can't always rely on the default settings of a program to tell you your temps. As it was said before, the temps are most likely switched, CPU should be case and case should be CPU.

unless they release a new bios revision... there is no way to fix this...

surprised an abit board reads the temps low.. usually abit reads them a bit high...

Who ever says that we didn't care. I said we dont care what the motherboard reading is it isn't right.

All that happened is a glitch where the readings are switched.

it is impossible to have the cpu cooler than the case with normal coooling so i would conclude that your mb is confused and in fact the cpu is running at 39-40 deg c that is great by the way
