The 3.7 GHz target that you're talking about is a turbo boost figure. The CPU runs at 3.3GHz by default. I believe that processor automatically downclocks under light loads or at idle. Two questions:

1. Are you doing anything when you see those figures? Run a stress test like Prime95 Blend or OCCT and check the clock speeds when the CPU is under max load. If they're still low we'll do some troubleshooting, but my guess is that they won't be.

2. What are your load temperatures? If you are hitting that low of a clock speed under full load then it could be thermal throttling.

na my question is under load the frequency is 3691 not 3700 why? multiplier is 99x77 not 100x? why

CPU clocks aren't always an exact science with features like turbo boost. I don't know exactly how that feature works on your chip, but I can promise that .009 GHZ isn't going to make a difference.

You've got multiple threads open in which you seem to believe that something is wrong with your computer. There isn't. Stop worrying so much!

Sounds like you have down spread set on your spread spectrum.

That's kinda the norm a lot of times. If it bugs you that much just change the bclk to 100.2 or so manually. Guess the 2691 in 1st post is a typo.

The poor guy is a computer hypochondriac; he is convinced his rig is broken. Maybe if we can get a few more people to reassure him he will be able to relax.

Different motherboard BIOS revisions can result in different BCLK ratings. When my Z77 motherboard first came out, it shows 99.77MHz. Some BIOS revisions later, it shows 100MHz. Sometimes when the CPU is so new, even hardware monitoring software can read it wrongly when it has no information of that particular CPU.

I'm not complaining though. ;)
