CPU running too hot...??

Hey guys...I was curious if my cpu is was running to hot...it gets to about a max of 51 degrees celsius w/ a full load...is that normal or is it running way to hot??

Well, if its a Tbird or a Duron, thats about as high as you want it to get. If it's not crashing or anything, i'd say it'll be ok. Remember though, when it gets to be summer time, the room temp will get higher, and that 50C could jump up a few degrees. What cooling do you have?

Yea its a T-bird...and I have a Taisol CGK742092. Not overclocking or anything either...just running at 1.2ghz...

How could I cool it better?? I took the thermal tape off and I'm using Artic silver instead...anything else I could do??

What mb, since every mb interprets backside temp differently, and which bios revision for the motherboard, and what is the case/mb temp?

I have an Abit KT7-RAID motherboard...my case temp is at around 23-25 degresse celsius always...and my chipset is at 33 to 35 at the most...Just checked my cpu temp again -- just jumped to 53 degrees...highest I've seen it!!

If you want to bring the temperature down try reducing the voltage. I 'm running a 1Ghz Tbird and with oc to 1.1Ghz with voltage of 1.85. It's running at around 47C full load. I also had the same chip down to 1.60V and 1Ghz with full load reaching around 36C.
