CPU Question?

I'm thinking about upgrading to Quad core very soon and i was wondering what my best bet was? I'm able to get a QX6800 for about 400 bucks. I'm just thinking for this price i problary can't go wrong. Or would you recommended going for something else? Any help would be great.

Thanks

If you can really get a QX6800 for that price I would take it and run. Even after the price reduction that chip will be over $600. I would LOVE to get one that cheap.

I have a buddy of mine that works in the field and get this stuff really cheap. This chip is brand new in box.

If by "field" you mean his name is Vinny and he likes to carry a baseball bat and lives where processors just happen to fall off of trucks, then ya, that's about right...As to your question, you have to just be bragging, I mean, come on....

Nope not at all.. I'm asking because the price drop is coming soon and finding out would it better off paying about 266.00 and than OCing it to close to that speed. or maybe even passing it. Or would it be better off with the QX6800 for that price.
