Do I want to remove the four pads on my 900 t-bird before setting on the FOP32-1. I keep hearing about making sure the heatsink sits as flat as possible.

the pads are there to keep the heatsink stable. DO NOT remove them unless you're going to make your own

the pads r put there by AMD to make sure the HS+fan doesnt put too much weight on the core, and to evenly distribute that weight!
DO not remove them !

i scraped off the pads on my duron :eek:

seems to be working fine though..i put thermal grease on it by the way ;)
