im running an athlon 1400 266 in a kt7, slightly o/c to get it to run at regular speed.......but its pushing 60C, and shuts down when i try and run benchmarks. I have the heatsink that came with the cpu (retail box) so i dont think it should be running this hot..

and thought on thermal paste or anything that could tone this down a notch?

Get yourself some Artic Silver III. Also how is the cooling in your case?

Since you're overclocked, you'd better get something other than the stock HSF. I recommend the Thermaltake Volcano 7+. It's costly, but works great.

the system temp is only 26 C, have 3 fans running and everything else is pretty cool.....ill probably swing by 3dcool sometime and pick up some artic silver since their HQ is like 2 min down the road
