CPU overclocking--no tweaking directly to CPU

Let's make sure what it really mean by OCing CPU. We are not talking about doing real overclocking directly to CPU itself, for that's not only sometimes hard to do (the OEM's may do some protection on their processors) but also voids the manufacture's warranty. Instead, we only do OCing by means of varying FSB speeds, etc.

I just wanna to make sure my perspecive of CPU OC is in the same boat as yours in this forum. Right?

OCing a CPU is increasing it's clockspeed via multipliers or increasing the FSB speed.

I currently run my A64 3000+(2ghz, 512kb) Skt 754 (E6 Venice) at 2.87ghz (287mhz X 10, 1.55v).

any overclocking automatically voids a cpu's warranty.
