When I start my computer the last 2 times I've had a cpu overclock fail messege and need to press F1 to continue, then it works.

I never even changed anything though so I don't get why I have this messege.

I had that issue on multiple boards at stock settings... I hit F1 to continue, and haven't noticed any problems.

Welcome to my world :)

I have the Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe and about 5 boots out of 10, I get the overclocking failed message. Although I have to hit F2 to continue.

I upgraded to this cpu about 2 months ago and didn't get the messege till just now so it seems weird to get it out of no where.

It is working fine though, don't worry about it?

Go into your BIOS and manually set everything to the default vcore, fsb, timings, etc. It may be trying to run a OC profile or something on boot.

I had something kind of stupid like this happen to me once. I can't remember the exact same message, but I remember it was something similar and I had to hit a button (F2 maybe) to continue. In my case it ended up being the CMOS battery had failed, I replaced that and everything worked fine again. Might be worth looking into/replacing since typically they're just a watch battery and only cost like $2-$3 or so.
