I bought a new case for my old computer. I finished the installation, connected the power cord, and booted the computer but nothing happened. I even cannot hear a "BEE-PEE" sound from the motherboard when it started. In this case how to determine the motherboard or the CPU did not work?

Recheck the wiring from the case to motherboard, i.e. pwr, case spkr. motherboard powerconnector

By your description, nothing is even turning on. Verify you mounted the cpu correctly, including the cpu fan pwr connector to the motherobard.

If its a Pent 4 motherboard, you might need to plug in the additional powerconnectoer.

Actually in order to find the problem I only mounted the CPU, installed the memory and plugged the power cord and power switch cord. Do I have to put the CPU fan on?

Dude, make sure the CPU fan power header is plugged in correctly and if your system is ON, the CPU fan HAS to spin...

What's your config look like?

IT IS AN OLD SYSTEM, PIII 750, ABIT BX133 MOTHERBOARD. ACTUALLY THE CPU FAN SPINS AND I CAN HEAR THE HARD DRIVE SPINS TOO.

And stop typing in all caps would you? Makes it look like you're shouting.
