CPU observation...

THIS IS NOT A AMD VERSUS INTEL POSTING.

I was looking through the paper today and though I would never by a computer system from Best Buy, Comp USA or Circuit City, it seems to be more and more difficult to find a system with an AMD processor. Maybe its just this week, but I hate that the fact that the general masses don't see much of an option in terms of which cpu to get in there new computer.

What do you think? Is it just me? Is it bad?

NO it is just not you....

About 2 months back the paper would have a few amd desltop models...now I can't find any..no xp's

I did however see a few ads for athlon mobile chips in toshiba or compaq laptops....

Lets hope the hammer gets here soon or amd is likely to loose all the market it gained in the usa in the last 1-1/2 willbe gone...


Best buy I believe still sells them under the hp line, but it seems to be more of a configuration item...


I am always pisse abuot the computer companies running xp 1800+ with integrated 32mb video up next to a p4 1.8ghz with an nvidia 32mb ddr card and sblive...talking about neutering one...Also the price would only be like 100 dollars different when we know damn well the integrated mobo is cheaper and the athlon 1800+ xp is cheaper...It is a joke...

However it was like that all last year and amd was able to climb....Total absence from paper is not good though...
