CPU, Motherboard, Ram, GFX card, Power Supply = $1500

Hey guys can i please get some advice on what CPU, Motherboard, RAM, GFX card and Powersupply to get.
So far in my list i have the following:

Can someone recommend what CPU, Mother board, RAM, GFX and powersupply i should get for around the $1500 mark. so the comp will 2k all up roughly.

I need it for a lot of high end design programs + gaming.

PS: what im thinking of is along the lines of:
CPU- Intel i7 2600 =$299
MOTHERBOARD- Asus p8p67 pro =$239
RAM- Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz (2x4gb) =$139
GFX- Gigabyte HD6950 OC (1gb) Crossfire =$599
POWER- Silverstone Strider 850W gold = $229

all up= $1505
 
1. PC will be used for high end design programs which involves rendering and large illustrator files. + some gaming like counterstrike

Im not expert here, but people have been recommending for my new build, Antex, Corsair and Seasonic PSUs. The one you have is the right power output, but maybe you should check if those other "name brands" have something similar to offer. I can't see the link you posted, it's blocked here by the web filter. Just make sure you have good cooling in what ever case you chose. GLHF
 
^ Silverstone doesn't get recommended very often, maybe because Antec and Corsair tend to have better deals, but Silverstone does offer good to excellent quality PSUs.
 
"Some gaming like Counterstrike" means that you really don't need to spend anything like $1500 to get what you want.

Here's what I would do:
i7 2600 $308
ASRock Z68 Pro3 $144
Qty 2 Kingston DDR3 1333 8GB $156
GTX 560 Ti $260 - You'll want CUDA support since you use Adobe products, will handle 1080P gaming with aplomb
Total: $868

Save the other $700 for a refresh in two years.
 
I'd buy a cheap Dell i5 combo with 23" screen for $500-600, slap a decent graphics card in there, like a nVidia 460 1GB for $130-ish, and then call it a day.
