CPU/Motherboard help

I am upgrading cpu/motherboard. I'd like to get a stable 939 motherboard and I'm not going to be doing any overclocking at all.

But I'm not sure which motherboard to get. I've been searching the forums for options. DFI sounds good. I have been using Asus and their mobo's are great. I don't think I'll need SLI, but I do want a PCI-E motherboard. Would an SLI mobo be advantageous if I don't plan to do SLI??

Also, when Venice is out, will that be advantageous over the Winchester A64?
Price range is pretty cheap, maybe around $250 total

Look at the www.Monarchcomputer.com bundles. Boards and processors are very reasonable there.

You can get a DFI Ultra-D, heatsink, 3000+ Winchester, Half Life, Far Cry, and Napster (3 months) for $279 + shipping

You'd have to check, but Monarch is very competitive, maybe the best right now...

If you go Ultra-D, make sure to research what ram you need. It can be picky....

I don't own a DFI Ultra-D, but I've heard that it's one of the favorite boards for Overclockers right now. If you don't plan on overclocking, could you perhaps save a little bit of money by buying a slightly cheaper board?
