Question CPU issues, help

Hi ❤ A few days ago I assembled my new computer, these are the components:

Motherboard: Msi B450 gaming plus max Processor: Amd Ryzen 5 5600X
Graphics card: Sapphire Technology Pulse amd radeon RX 6600
Power supply: Sharkoon wpm gold zero 650W 80 plus gold
Ram: Corsair Vengeance Lpx16GB DDR4 3600

Today I checked MSI CENTER while playing and the CPU temperature was fluctuating between 76 and 83 degrees (when I start it it is between 50 and 60 degrees). I was told to change the thermal paste and so I did. I turned the computer back on and these problems emerged:
1. The red CPU light on the motherboard came on
2. The monitor says "no signal"
3. The video card fans do not spin
4. The case power button does not work as far as turning it off

Before changing the thermal paste everything was ok... I have already tried to unplug and replug all the cables, the RAM, the video card, the processor and the heatsink, the power supply but nothing has changed... Could someone please help me?

What CPU cooler are you using? Do you have the CPU fan plugged in? When you reapplied the thermal paste did you remove the CPU from the socket?

It sounds like you don’t have something plugged in…maybe the 24 pin ATX cable…or more likely, the 8 pin CPU power cable.
As for temps…what do you have for a CPU cooler?

I know next to nothing about AMD, but a good cooler is necessary. Do you possibly have the fan plugged i to the wrong socket? If it’s just a simple air cooler, CPU_Fan 1 (top of the board above the CPU) would be the most logical connection.

This doesn’t sound so much like a CPU problem as it does connection problems.

The heatsink is the one they give with the processor, it's called AMD Wraith stealth cooler. The heatsink fan spins. Before putting the thermal paste I took the processor off, looked at the pins and they had no problems

If everything else is plugged into the right spot then I think you need to check the CPU for bent pins. In the future there's no need to pull the CPU if everything is working. Just clean the paste off with the CPU in the socket.

Are you certain you have the correct 8-pin cable plugged into the motherboard's CPU power socket? Looking at your PSU, the PCI-E cables and the CPU Power cable look an awful lot alike...you wouldn't be the first person to swap them.

Was this done in an air conditioned room on carpet?
This might be ESD damage if everything is the same but thermal paste. Or the mobo had a fragile trace/joint/etc.

You put thermal paste on with the Wraith? They have their own paste pre-applied. You got bad advice.

unplug everything, remove te battery, and hold the reset for awhile to drain any residual voltage. Also while your battery is removed, measure the voltage across the battety if you have a multimeter. A Sub 3V may prevent some mb from booting. If your mb doesn't have a led readout, consider buying a cheap mb speaker to see if you can get a beep code.

Also, plug in 1 ram stick at a time and try each of the dimm slot. A bent cpu pin may screw up one of the dimm channel.

Now everything works, the problem is that the temperatures of CPU are too high and have not changed with the new liquid cooler(MARS GAMING ML-LCD 240). Unless it's throttling, your CPU temps (while gaming) are fine. Max temp is 95C for that CPU.

Yeah I'd say those temps are fairly typical, maybe a little higher than my son's 5600X with a 240 AIO. You could try undervolting to bring the temps down.

Your cooler is not a brand with which I am familiar…European company? Based on the prices I see on line…it’s cheap as chips…which often doesn’t indicate a high quality product. (But not always)

I know Jack Schitt about AMD products…but I’d suspect either the cooler isn’t very efficient, you have it mounted with the pump higher than the radiator, or your paste application isn’t done well.
