can i have advice on what folks think are the best cpu thermal compound to use

are there any recent reviews out there that people think are good

i use artic silver but am looking for the best

shin etsu x23 always seems to have the best reviews. but when i tried it only made about 1c if any difference. arctic silver 5 is still one of the best and its easy to apply and to find
 
Best is a subjective term. Do you want the best ease of application? The best thermal transfer? The best combination of all??
