What's the best possible CPU setup to obtain maximum rendering performance under video editing software such as Premier?

And with the optimum setup whats the best consumer, non-business, setup of CPU for this?

The fastest platform is 2 dual core Opterons, the best consumer setup is the fastest X2 you can afford...at the moment.
For platform I would suggest a Raid 5 motherboard (e.g. the Asus A8N32SLI), a QuadroFX video card (for better realtime previews), and as much memory as you can get (4 GB would be good).
