CPU Fans + KT7-Raid

Could someone recommend a good CPU fan which would be compatible with
the KT7-Raid Mobo? (Some Thermaltake fans state that they are not compatible
with the KT7-Raid, and don't want to get one that won't fit)
Thanks!

yup, the taisol CGK742...you might want to consider sanding the bottom tho'...the stock form has too many grooves in it...work really good before sanding it, now it seems to be even better...

Does anyone know where to buy the Taisol CGK742 besides at inflowdirect.com?
(they are out of stock)

thanks!

Mounted an Alpha large copper PAL6035 with YSTech 60mm (from memman.com) on a friend's 1GHz T-bird on an Abit KT7 RAID... he reports 25C idle CPU temp, no more than 30C under stress (the Antec 1030SX is well-ventillated)

MissingLinc: Those temps are highly unaccurate.

I've got the Alpha PAL6035 on a KT7 and it's a great cooler, a little on the expensive side though.

Suggestions for alternatives to Taisol CGK-742, if not available :

GlobalWin FOP32-1 - Fairly cheap and available, can replace fan and convert to FOP38 if heat issues arise, good for moderate to high oc'ing.
Not the very best available if money is not a problem.

Coolermaster models - Very cheap and plentiful, good for light to moderate oc'ing.

According to the review, the Taisol runs at 48 Deg. on FULL load, my Cooler, the ArtiCooler runs at 45 deg. under load

Only downside is that it costs about 40 bucks and does take a little longer to put on the KT7 but it does fit. Appearantly, they designed the Clip a bit badly and it doesn't fit perfectly but it still goes on. Use with artic silver, it helps. My temps weren't even tested with artic silver, so that means, that level could go down some too...

I'll second that. Check out Tom's review--near the top in both cooling & quietness (made up word).

Sorry about those temps... dont know what I was thinking. Those were reported be the mobo monitor for the SYSTEM temps... CPU temps are obviously higher for just fans and heatsinks... I think the CPU temps were more on the line of 37C to 39C when under stress. I need to ask my buddy again.
