Now, should a cpu fan(ALPHA)should be blowing or sucking out?? Which way is best.
I have tried both ways and seem to get better performance when the fan is reversed.

You mean it's better when it blows air away from the CPU? I always thought it had to be blowing on the CPU...

I thought it was supposed to blow away from the cpu? Thus getting rid of the heat from the heatsink.

i think the fan is supposed to be blowing cool air into the heatsink to let it cool better.

you may also want to check the fan itself, i know on my Taisol CGK760, they have arrows on one of the sides that tells you which side should be screwed on to the HSF.

Most fans blow onto the heatsink, but I believe that the Alpha sucks.
No pun intended.

I have owned the Alpha and it is designed for drawing air out(sucking), that is the purpose of the shroud.

Alpha's should suck in air.... They have a shroud for that purpose. Unless you have heat source very close by (i.e. Dual Procs in some instances) they should suck in air to draw the cooler air by the lower parts of the fins.... Sorry folks, dont believe me? Click Here To Read It From Alpha
