I have an Epox MVP3C2 mobo (socket 7), which used to have a P1 233 in it. I just upgraded to an AMD k6-2 550. I reused the fan/heatsink from the old P1. Now I'm having major heat problems (53 degrees C). Could this be because of the wrong fan (I know there are tons of other things that could cause heat-problems, and I'm considering all of them, I just need thsi question answered)? Thanks

for me, it's perfect. I got less crashes b/c heat problems weren't there anymore. the only thing that could be wrong is that it might slowdown apps. but it's not noticeable if you're just running everday apps (IE, Word, PSP, etc)...but you might notice a lag if you're running quake. overall, the pros heavily outweigh the cons.
