CPU Fan Problem?

I'm using the default fan/heatsink combo. The funny thing is that the fan would spin for a second, then stop for a few seconds, then spin up again for a second, repeatedly. It does post however, so I think all the major components are working, except perhaps the motherboard fan connector?

Turns out because of the smart FAN, it doesn't spin until it gets up to 25C and since it's brand new, it was starting at 20C, hence why it didn't spin initially. I wouldn't have guessed it until I went into BIOS to check the temps myself.

Thanks!

..you can shut off smart fan feature so the fan spins at full speed at power up.
