I think I will be getting a Taisol 760092 and I want to replace the stock fan. However, I do not want to get a Delta as they are so noisy. What are my alternatives?

That's what I've heard anyway. If someone could tell me that I'm wrong, it would make my decision much easier. :)

yes, they are indeed that loud.

as to the original question.

for the taisol, which i believe is a larger hs, (larger than 60mm by 60mm) here is a suggestion.

take 2 80 mm fans (i personally am using 2 80mm 26cfm fans) and put them at an angle so that they form a tent over your HS, both blowing down, and you have a perfect fan, low noise and very high CFM. also you get rid of that dead spot in the mid that your normal fans would give you.

added bonus, it cools down the chips around the CPU as well.

Uhh...how would the fans stay on? Duct tape or something?

I'm currently using a fan made by a manufacturer called "Superred"
Superred 60mm Fan

The listed specs are:
5300rpm, 24CFM, 37dBA, 8.22 mmH2O
60mm x 60mm x 23mm

Its more powerful than the Sunon and YSTech and its not too noisy, and I think the CFM rating is somewhat underrated. IMO its close to 28 CFM.

Or how about putting this adapter on??

Put a good 80mm fan on this and it would be quiet and powerfull.

I am thinking about a Taisol with this and a good 80mm very soon....

Any thoughts???

I put a Delta 60mmX60mmX25mm 39dba 30CFM fan
on my Alpha PEP66.
Works well and doesn't have that
annoying whinning sound.

I purchased it at inflow
