CPU Fan help

I ordered a panFlo 120 fan for the top of my XP-120 heatsink.

Only problem is the fan comes with two dangling wires. Red and Black.

The factory heatsink comes with a connector with the wires red, black, blue connected to it.

What should I do?

I dont have a sodering iron and wouldnt know what connectors to make to the board.
Should I go looking for a computer store with the connector piece?

Could I used the factory connector?

help would be greatly appreciated.

Definately take the fan and the connector to a local electronics repair shop. I imagine they will charge you a small fee, but if you are not comfortable soldering it yourself then I see no other option.

I thought about splicing the cables and then attaching them with electrical tape. I didnt say I wasnt comfortable with sodering. I dont have one.

Question really is, Can I use the factory or standard issue plug without the third wire. In this case blue, sometimes in other cases yellow.

The third wire is just for speed monitoring, which your panaflo must not support as it only has the two wires.

I wouldn't really recommend just electrical tape - at the least get a marrette or something.

use the factory connector and use wire nuts, Im pretty sure they come that small.. or the kits with crimp connectors, I know they come that small.. use the cylinder looking one to join them (dont recall the name of it). red to red, black to black, blue=rpm monitor and isnt needed.
