CPU double clock

I would like to know what the risks are for double clocking my cpu. It's a 233mhz pentium. I would like to clock it up to 66mhz*5.5x= 363mhz.
 
you sure? I got a 233 mmx pent I and I was doing 5.5*75, now I am doing 5*75 because I didn't want to kill the chip too fast.
 
Well guys, any of you who say they're running a Pentium-MMX at a multiplier above 3.5x are either missing something important, or just LIE.

The multiplying is done in the CPU, not on the mainboard. And the PMMX doesn't offer any settings that would take you above 3.5x. On socket-7, only AMD K6-2 or later, and the latest batches of Cyrix MII do that.

So any of you who set the jumpers to what means 5.5x for a K6-2 will end up at 3.5x when using a PMMX (and at 1.5x for the original Pentium). Those who think they're running 5.0x actually run 3.0x.

Disbelievers please use third-party tools that measure the actual running frequency, like SiSoft Sandra for Windows. NT users can use their System Diagnostics. Linux users inspect the boot log file or use KDE Control Center, DOS users use CTCM.EXE or similar.
