In an effort to build a silent box, I've put together a system using a Leadtek NF2 board (sorta old, bought it shortly after NF2 was released) and a 1500+ palamino core. I have a swiftech MC462 on it with a 80mm panflo L1a. There's one case fan (L1a) and the ps fan. Anyway, with mbm5, my case temps are 28 - 30 C (fine imo) and the cpu is 36 - 40c (also fine). What I'm worried about is a diode sensor (I've never seen one listed in mbm before, with any cpu/mobo combo). That diode sensor reads 65 - 70C all the time (as soon as I boot up). Anyway, did the palamino have an on-die thermal sensor? What could this sensor be reading if not? How can the socket sensor read 36 c and the diode be 70? I didn't think socket sensors were that inacurate...
