Think its time to get a new HSF possibly?

Its a 2400+ w/ a Thermalright AX-7, Artic Silver 3, in a Lian-Li PC-65 case.

Everything seems to be seated perfectly....

Might want to reseat the HS, and make sure you applied the AS3 correctly. AMD's normally don't get near that hot.

41C system temp is pretty high. You might just have some sensors that over-temp.

Have you looked in the bios to see if the voltage might have been raised? Implausible, but may as well. Could also be a defective probe, or something between the CPU core and heatsink.

I've got an AX-7 on my overclocked Barton 2500+ and it stays in the low 40's with Seti@home running. It's still a solid heatsink. Is it or the fans clogged with dust and crap? Has a case fan died? Does the heatsink feel very hot?

Ive got every applicable hole in my case filled with a fan :)

I like a quiet case, so they are all NMB's pushing what i believe to be around 20cfm each (2 lower front, 1 upper back). With ~30cfm fan on the AX-7.

The HS is hot, not like *burn-ouch* hot, but pretty dern toasty.

On a side note, if by chance the AX-7 is properly seated, maybe i should replace the fan...

What do you reccomend?

Needs to be 80mm and QUIET.

Well a different, quieter fan isn't going to lower your temps.....but everyone seem to like the Panaflo fans.
