Hi,

I used to have a working PC. I moved overseas and I just brought over here my PC in parts(vid card, cpu, ram, hdd, etc). I put it together again, but for some reason it always freezes up. I used to have a real nice CPU cooler and big fat heatsink, but I couldnt broudht that with me caus eti was quite heavy. So I bought a new one over here and this now one is not the best one, quite cheapo. Could this be my problem? Also my PC freezes when I go into the BIOS' "PC Health" menu. Any thoughts?

Yeah, i use thermal compound. The CPU is a P3-800(100mhz). The cooler is real cheapo. Its called Titan. The heatsink doesnt look very promising. It's made of some real cheap material(aluminium). I used to have copper heatsink(Kanie Hedgehog).
