Whenever i'm lost in the world of computers, I call upon you gentleman ..

I'm struggling to find a compatible cpu cooler for this board. It's mini -itx am2. I've had to rma 1 cooler already heh.

I have a super tiny case so the fan has to be low profile. Maybe there's even a fanless option? Any recommendations would be awesome. I'm lost.

I have two of those coolers sitting in my basement. Came out of these little AM2 Hewlet Packard desktops..

the problem is those caps next to the cpu.
Your going to run into clearance issues from what i can see due to those caps.

Thats why vendors stopped putting caps so close to the cpu on modern systems.

Infact it may cost you more to find a OEM heat sink by itself then a entire refurb'd unit off ebay like this one:

It also might be recommend to tell you, a Baytrail ITX embeded would also probably be better and faster then what your running if your looking for something small, and maybe cost a bit more.

Its your choice however... IMO unless you had the spare parts, i would not even bother trying to find parts to refurb it, and instead shelf it, and look for a new system entirely.

You can find dell / lenovo / hp Mini's on ebay for fairly cheap that have been retired from service.
Like this guy for example... and would be significantly faster then any AM2 processor:
