hey, i get this warning message about 85% of the time i turn on my computer which started happening about 3 weeks ago now i'd say. the fan sort of does whirlies then settles down after its been used for about 30mins to an hour. about a 2 weeks ago i decieded maybe the fan was faulty so i changed it but it still does the same thing

has anyone had this problem before, or have any suggestions on what i should do?

thanks Tom

I had that problem (something simular). When I changed PSU and case. In the BIOS there is something about " fan monitoring " or something like that , can't remember the real name, but it had 2 options "off" or "auto". Auto just kept my pc rebooting, when i turned it off Voila! no more problems.

I would still suggest getting another Surgeons approval before doing so though ;)

This doctor is still in training, good luck!

Yeah.. turn off any fan monitoring in your BIOS. If its a new NF4 board, you may be running 'cool n' quiet', which is a windows based fan monitoring program.
