CPU bus and APG aperture BIOS problem

Well, I've screwed myself up now and need some serious help guys. I went into my BIOS and changed the AGP aperture from 64 MB to 128 MB (I thought it appropriate because I have a Radeon 9600 XT 128 MB card) and changed the CPU bus speed of my Athlon 2800 XP + from 166 to 200 (my motherboard is a Nforce 2 based-board).

Anyways, now I can't see a THING when I turn on my computer and have no way to correct the problem! I'm suspecting its a problem with BOTH of the settings that I changed because even without seeing anything and with a keyboard plugged in, ctl-alt-del does nothing as does educated-guess keystrokes in the dark (i.e. no HD reading at ALL).

I tried to reset BIOS by removing the battery for 10 minutes and unplugging the computer but it didn't help! What else do you think might be wrong?

Please help!!!

take a knife or some metal object and short out the metal beneath the battery. That will default the mobo back to factory settings.

Get out your mobo manual, find the "CMOS" jumper. It'll resset your BIOS back to factory. It's most likely your FSB > 200 that's preventing boot.

AGP aperture most likely did not cause any probs. A good idea is to make only one change at a time to BIOS so you know what caused a problem.

Good Luck

Thanks very much Pex for your advice! It worked! But the factory default of CPU FSB 100Mhz have made my Athlon 2800+ run at 1.25 Ghz so I did a stupid thing again and braved going into the BIOS to change FSB to 200Mhz and now I'm stuck in the same situation as before but the solution doesn't work, so I'm going to try Fern's idea now and see if there is a jumper on my board. But thank you so much for your help!

after you get back into your bios, just set the fsb to 166 which is the default speed for your cpu. anything higher would be overclocking which you should not do unless you are sure of what you are doing and how to do it.
