CPU bottleneck paired with a 6600GT AGP?

I have 1800+@2.2 200FSB and 1gb memory(OCZ PC3200 and Corsair Value). Anyway I had a 9800np a while back but had to sell it for certain reasons. Looking to get a card for HL2 and other games. Am curious would my CPU be holding the 6600GT back some or no?

I am kinda on a budget of $150-$200. I can't get a 6600GT AGP for that ATM and I was looking at a 9700 pro on the forums here for $100 shipped. The the 6600GT worth the extra $100 or so in performance?
 
Supply and demand. I think we'll probably see the prices drop when the NF4 boards are out and more people are buying PCI-E x16 graphics cards... demand for AGP cards will then drop enough to justify lower prices.
