Are there any programs I can use to benchmark my CPU? I mean something universal that I can compare, like 3DMark05 is with video cards. Thanks.
 
Uhh, isn't there a 3dmark CPU-only test or am I just dreaming? 😉 3dmark01 is pretty CPU dependent by now. Otherwise Sandra is fine but still not a whole lot of people use it. Bummer.
 
Unfortunately I think most of the cpu test are skewed to one manufacturer...Sissoft sucks and the Nbendh by AMD likely favors their processors...

Best cpu test may be real world test like superpi....sciencemark....Seti....encoding a Divx movie...

3dmark2k1 while a good test for cpu versus the latter incarnations of the test, will be hard to compare numbers versus others due to factors of vid card, ram, and mobo platform....It may actually be a better system test...
