I really want to upgrade to the Athlon XP 1900+ since its only $141 at newegg. But thouroubreds just around the corner, should I wait or go ahead with the 1900? Will the T-bred core offer me significant advantages over the 1900 xp?

There's no "real" enhancement except that it's on a smaller die. Buy it now man! Hurry!!

(Actually I know where you can get it shipped less than $140 from a very highly rated retailer Thompson's Computer Warehouse... shhhh don't tell anyone ;) )

The only reason to wait is that you might be able to get the currenlty available cpus cheaper. I have read rumors that a XP2200+ is going to be released soon

What CPU do you have now?

I have a 1.2 TBird, I'm wait on TBred and 1 Ghz jump or close to it.

With the Intel official price cut in 3 days, you can already see the P4 processors plummeting in price. AthlonXP prices always follow suit. If you can wait a week or two, I bet the 2000+XP will be almost at that $141 level.
