Things like this really affect your life op?
They adversely affect my enjoyment of a movie. Honestly, some of these shows have multimillion dollar budgets. They can't afford to send one guy to a CPR class so it can be done properly on screen?
You are right, but very infrequently are all the tools necessary to perform CPR correctly. Not everyone is going to carry around a bag valve mask or a pocket face mask to avoid mouth to mouth. And very rarely are they going to have access to a board to place under the victim to conduct CPR. In real life, paramedics and EMTs do not do things like their taught in class all the time, mostly its improvising to get the job done.
You are right though, what really bothers me is how the screw up the ratios, they usually do like 5 compression and 1 breath, and its really a compression ratio of 30:2. That does bother me
