I saw one in Madison WI last week. about a mile from my house and in an area that required crossing at least 2 busy streets to get to.

They've really culled the stray cat/dog populations around here. They're turning up everywhere now.

Without looking it up i'm pretty sure there is one in SC where i'm more familiar with those things.

about a year ago i was on I-76 driving home from Denver and one was freshly hit, and i mean fresh road kill. The coyote was cut in half just below the ribs. The hind leg half was sitting on the dotted white lines and the head half was about 30 feet further down the road laying on the right white line. But between the two halves was nothing but blood, like sombody poured 2 5 gallon buckets across the highway, when my tires went through it, it sounded like a water puddle. God that was sick.

All we have around here are foxes and I have only seen one of those in the wild. Wish we had coyotes.
