Cowboys vs. Redskins

A) Gurode is playing terrible - thats 4 bad snaps to the shotgun, 2 of which resulting in fumbles.
B) on the one that sailed over Romo's head, I'm guessing the defense ran up when they saw the fumble, so TO was wide open. TO actually almost had it for a huge completion, and it was the tip that made it an int

Not that it matters, but why did the clock continue to run after the 2nd down play? Witten went out of bounds.

😕

Edit: was it the same thing after the TO catch also?

Rule change years ago. Only stops with the lst 5 minutes of each half, IIRC. Games still last as long, you just get less plays and more commercials.

I actually noticed that about the clock too - didn't know about the rule change. Good call Alistar.

And this was under 3 minutes left in the half. It should have stopped.

I thought it was about 6, but I could be wrong

IIRC, it was changed at the same time the moved the kickoff back 5 yards. I have seen plenty of games since then where an extra minute at the end would have made all the difference.

It might only be in the last 2 minutes of each half, or the last 5 minutes of the 2nd half, can't remember exactly. Still a POS rule change that only took time away from the game so they could run more commercials.

That would make sense.

Henry has been playing, but not starting, since he came back from his high ankle sprain.

Are you sure? I think he started against the Giants.

I'm not sure if he actually "started", but Reeves was generally in on non-nickel/dime downs.
