Since the Rupublican Supreme Coup has set itself up in the business of selecting the President, the appointments to judgeships has taken a turn south.

In all honesty I think a new party is needed, I'd call it the "Smack the whiny bitches" party. Their main focus would be to slap every Republican and Democrat across the face....... over and over and over again. This party would consist of large black people, red necks and anyone from New York. Apparently I'm a coward no matter what side I'm on, and since arguing is no fun, I'll just sit and watch till I know better.

That's exactly what the Democrats in Senate are doing. They are dealing with it.

You cannot expect infantile minds to acknowledge the reality that everyone else has moved on from the last presidential election. Just ignore them -- it works wonders.

While we keep fighting and arguing over which ones are cowards, which ones are brave, they on the other hand are minting money, making huge investements on their inside knowledge and filling their pockets till they burst.

Just a fact : average wealth of a senator is around $4 million + and average income declacred is $245k + /year.

How many of you make that every year ? Forget the net worth.

It is fools who fight for establishing honor amongst thieves.

It's very difficult to find any elected politition who stands for anything more than "family values", "stars and stripes", those sorts of things. Almost to a man they try to appeal to the middle-road, average voter, which leaves out definite stances on controversial issues. That's what leaves many people with the impression that there is no difference between the major parties.

However....by examining the over-all voting record of the major parties, it is possible to figure out "what they stand for".

For instance, when it comes to raising taxes, voting for tax increases, you can be certain a Democrat is more likely to do so than a Republican. It's just that the typical Democrat will never admit to voting that way, knowing most voters are against higher taxes. That's where the "cowardly" comes in....In my own congressional district, right before this last election Dick Gephardt actually said he was for lowering taxes, even though he votes over 90% of the time for all tax increase bills.

I think the word "cowardly" can be applied to Democrats such as Gephardt, probably most others. Maybe there's a better word, but "cowardly" fits pretty well....

The Goat hasn't figured out yet that Moonbeam is just yanking his and all hyper sensitive Republican Fanboys chains with his Supreme Court picking the President Spiel:)

I disagree. The use of the word "Cowardly" by some of the Republicans here to describe Democrats only serves to give those few Republicans a false sense of being more heroic and patriotic than they really are. They also mistakenly believe that anyone who looks at the political situation in America with an open mind would be swayed by their simplistic blowhard rhetoric. To say the Democrats are misguided and wrong is perfectly fine and a valid opinion but to question their patriotism and their personal courage because you disagree with their opinions is asinine and without any merit.

Red, I can't believe you would say that. how is anybody going to yank the chain of the morally correct by suggesting their main guy got where he is by fraud. Eight years of listening to them whine about Billy Bob would make them totally immune to such a childish effort. Please. I do it only for the sake of truth. You know that. :D

Tominator, do you have an actual opinion on everything? Every post of your that I remember seeing has the same basic themes of calling all Democrats/liberals dumbasses, idiots, dimwits, etc. It's people like you that make people stay out of politics.

dont be so repeditive, to be a democrat means you are cowardly to begin with
As much as I disagree with the Democratic party, it's attitudes like yours that make me detest the Republicans. You call them cowards because they stand up for what they believe even though they are in the minority? Somehow that sounds more heroic than cowardly. Cowardly is playing it safe, doing what the majority wants, calling those who have different views than the mainstream cowards. Disagreeing with them in one thing, but to label them as unpatriotic or cowards because they have different views than you? Sounds like something the National Socialist Party did in Germany during the 30's

democrats are cowards because they often do what is popular, and not what is right. off the top of my head i think of affirmative action (clearly unconstitutional) and taxes (steal from the rich and give to the poor!!)

Red Dawn.......I think the use of the word "cowardly" in this thread, points to a Democratic unwillingness to support something specifically, rather than simply opposing anything Republican, which seems to their current method of operation. Democrats for the most part are not cowardly when it comes to patriotism.

Course there's always Dick Gephardt.....he initially opposed the first gulf war, wanted to deny funding to the armed services. As soon as he found out he was in the minority, his position flip-flopped....suddenly he was a hawk. Cowardly? Yes I'd say so.
