My daughter grossed out all the Mexican kids in her class when she told them one of her favorite foods is lengua.

Whenever I try a new taqueria, I always sample the lengua first. If the place makes legit lengua, you can pretty much count on all the other meats to be legit as well. I think it's the hardest one to get right.

If it's good enough for the Jews, it's good enough for me...bet you didn't know cow tongue is Kosher?

You must mean 'hispanic-american' kids because lengua is common for mexicans to eat.

Personally me likes lengua.

It's good but not something I'd eat all the time. There are far better parts of the cow to eat than the tongue.

I had some (for the first time) at a nice Persian place last week and it was delicious.

Where can I buy bulk cow tongue? I'm looking for an alternator sized piece, about 10lbs.

There used be a guy on TV called the Frugal Gourmet. I saw him cook a cow tongue by boiling it in a broth for like 6 hours, then he sliced it, breaded the slices and pan fried them. It looked really good. Never had it myself, but if I ever get a good recipe or if I find it on a menu, I'm going to try it.

I don't like it. My grandmother used to eat cow brains w/ scrambled eggs. I couldn't eat that either.
