Cow Bacon

I have never been a fan of the chicken on the pizza, I mean if your gonna be throwing meat other than pepperoni, it might as well be a big steak you cut up and put on there instead.

For some reason tha pizza thread made me think of bacon, and I am wondering if there an analogous version of bacon, that comes off cows?

I guess regularly bacon comes from the pigs stomach, heres a website that shows it.

On a somewhat related note, why do we not eat dolphins and horses. If tuna is the chicken of the sea, maybe we could consider dolphin or whale to be the beef of the sea. I guess i would just like more options.

beef bacon?

the french eat horse.

the japanese eat whales.

edit: flank steak may be from an analogous part but is not the same stuff, obviously.

There is beef bacon. It sucks. Beef doesn't really have the same fat layer pigs do in the belly area.

And besides...porkfat > *

I've had it in Egypt...try a Halal meat market, perhaps.

I wouldn't say it "sucks"...it's just not really like pork bacon.

😕

if you want meat on pizza... you can add
pepperoni, sausage, bacon, chicken, ground beef, ham, & sardines...

the beef of the sea would actually be salmon

Can I get some thunder thighs and badonkadonk butt?!

Hmmm, I may have said too much.

Turkey bacon and chicken bacon is actually quite good, and a decent alternative to regular bacon.

Are you serious? Turkey bacon appears to be nasty ground up turkey with food coloring in it to make it appear like bacon. I've never seen a turkey that has a mixture of pink and dark pink meat in nice strips like that. That's not even mentioning the taste. I was eating turkey bacon without looking closely once. I accidentally grabbed a piece of cardboard that was next to it and immediately began to wonder why that piece tasted so much better than the once I had just eaten 🙂

it is healthier though b/c FAR less fat

It's not that bad. I had some turkey bacon for breakfast this morning. Not as good as real bacon, but far less greasy and more healthy for you...supposedly 😛
