This has nothing to do with Covid, but definitely idiots. In north Carolina on the water, about to order food from some place that still has Freedom Fries on the menu

Still, you fail to grasp that a vast majority of people you see on the beach, roads, shops, etc., are fucking tourists from out of state. The food place is just catering to the tourists...

I'm not commenting about the visitors, I'm talking about the jackwagon who calls french fries freedom fries on their menu. Fish Hut Grill website.

Although I did start looking at license plates once we got to emerald isle, but we've only been here for 4 hours, mostly NC plates with some Virginia and a few new York so far.

Beach is beautiful. Water is warm. Airbnb is gorgeous. Family is happy. Good times.

I wasn't even thinking about politics, I was just looking at an online menu for food

It should also be stated that "freedom fries" came about as a protest because the French did not support the invasion of a sovereign nation that had nothing to do with 9/11, but based on the lies of a republican president.

You can take the seat belt buckle off in about 2 seconds with no tools. Seat bottoms come off too. So you've got a shield and a mace.
 
The unvaccinated believe they have the right to be that way, knowing they are susceptible and transmissible and say they are willing to accept the consequences of their actions right up until they they need to be hospitalized.

It's like they feel they have the right to cross a busy freeway any time they feel like it and those folks driving on it are supposed to weave, brake and excuse themselves for endangering the lives of these freedom loving freeway crossers and when they do get slammed and ran over well it's those driver's fault for not getting out of their way, right?

Yeah, makes all the sense in the world, doesn't it.

What's it going to take for our leadership to stop treating the measures to reduce the deaths from a _global_ pandemic as a political game? I really wonder how our handling of the pandemic is going to be captured by the history books.

Florida has nearly as many deaths per capita as the UK, and sadly, it's increased 20% since vaccines were widely available (say April.)

Way more deaths per Capita than India and it's continuing to climb

Still not as high as NJ, but NJ was hit hard 2Q20 and the winter 3rd wave. Very little increase since vaccines became available.

This is elective darwinism.

An idea just came to me. When they show the covid death numbers they should also highlight the caucasian and republican death numbers. In the back of my mind I know this wouldn't work though since they are proud to be hypocritical martyrs for the cause.
 
This whole thing is surreal to me. It feels like the plot of b-movie, where a death cult has infiltrated all walks of life, and are actively working to help spread of a highly infectious, and dangerous virus.

Except that is exactly what is going on. The Death Cult is the Republican party, and it's highest profile, elected members are speaking out, and even passing laws that encourage the spread of the virus.

I understand sociopaths exist, but I am still shocked on a daily basis when I see the depths of depravity elected leadership, who are elected to office to protect the people, are actively undermining, and even outlawing their protection.

He's right, you know. It will go away, after everybody catches it. The survivors will be immune. You know- the same as people who are vaxxed instead. Imagine that. Make a choice? Do your own research? Of course, because you're so smart. Find the secrets of Covid on Facebook. Then let the Dunning-Kreuger effect flow thru you.
